Patient Attendant/Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the safety. This role requires a professional with strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in driving. The Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our transfer operations and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Operate transfer vehicles to transport freight, goods, or equipment between locations
- Ensure all patients are properly secured and loaded/unloaded safely using appropriate equipment when necessary
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
- Assist with moving patients
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maint
Skills
- Medical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and perform basic maintenance
- Experience in moving patients efficiently and safely
- Proficiency in operating stretchers or other patient handling equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license (G) with a clean driving record 25 years of age.
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
- Ability to navigate routes effectively
- Good physical condition to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
- Attention to safety protocols to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
