Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and service. A background in hospitality, food industry, or hotel experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
  • Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee food safety compliance and ensure adherence to health regulations and sanitation standards
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS and manage cash handling procedures
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery and effective team management
  • Assist in restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
  • Lead by example in hospitality standards, including serving guests professionally and efficiently
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure quality control and consistency in food presentation and taste
  • Address customer concerns promptly to resolve issues effectively

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
  • Extensive restaurant management background with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Background in food handling, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience in interviewing prospective staff members is preferred
