We are seeking a skilled EMG Technician to join our growing practice and support our neurologist in providing accurate and efficient electrodiagnostic testing.
Position Summary
The EMG Technician will be responsible for performing Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and assisting the neurologist during Electromyography (EMG) procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality Nerve Conduction Studies in accordance with established protocols
- Prepare patients for EMG procedures and ensure comfort throughout testing
- Accurately document patient history, data, and study results
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and exam room cleanliness
- Assist the neurologist during EMG procedures as needed
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions with clarity and empathy
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance standards
- Support general clinic operations when required
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience performing Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of neurological anatomy and electrophysiology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under pressure
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Certification as a Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT), Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist (RNCT), or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a neurology or electrodiagnostic clinic
- Familiarity with EMG/NCS equipment and software Accuro
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.52-$28.93 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
