Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Graduate
Mechanical
Engineer
for our  Vancouver, B.C.  office. The selected candidate will provide mechanical engineering support to Sedgman design and engineering team, helping deliver high quality projects to clients.  As part of the mechanical team, daily involvement in calculations, drawings, reviews, reports, modelling and client support activities will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mechanical design support through the engineering phases PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering and detailed design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical  issues.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in mining processing technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
• Additional duties as required – may be required to work on client sites.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
• With 0 – 3 years of work experience; mechanical design experience preferred
• Must be eligible to register with the EGBC or will have their P.Eng EGBC designation
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, equipment, and technologies
• Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be available to travel to Client sites;  may be seconded to work on projects, either temporarily relocated, or placed on a rotational roster.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship

Salary Range: $58,000 - $64,000\

The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.
