Job Title: Immigration Paralegal

Location: Calgary

Job Description:

  • Assist immigration lawyers in preparing and filing immigration applications.
  • Gather and organize supporting documents for immigration applications.
  • Communicate with clients.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records and files related to immigration applications.
  • Assist in drafting legal documents such as affidavits and declarations.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a paralegal with a focus on immigration law in Canada.
  • Knowledge of Canadian immigration legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with immigration forms and applications (e.g., Express Entry, Family Sponsorship, Work Permits).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using immigration application management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong client service skills.
