Job Details
- Position: in-home Child Care Provider- Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent- Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)- Wage: $18.50 per hour- Start Date: As soon as possible- Language Requirement: Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese- Gender Preference: Female (due to caregiving and cultural needs)*- Education Required: Completion of a college program in Early Childhood Education (ECE)- Certificate Required: ECE Certificate- Work setting: Employer's home- Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment.
Job Duties
- Supervise and care for children in employer's residence- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks- Prepare Chinese meals and demonstrate good Chinese cooking skills- Organize age-appropriate activities to promote development- Assist with homework and school preparation- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties related to children- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development- Take children to and from school, appointments, and recreational activities- Accompany the child on international trips (especially to China) when needed
Additional Requirements- a valid ECE certificate is a profred asset - Previous experience in childcare or early education preferred- Knowledge of Chinese culture, customs, and cuisine is a strong asset - willing and able to travel internationally (e.g., China) with the child for family visits or extended stays

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
