Almira Cabinets is a fast-growing kitchen cabinetry manufacturing company based in Edmonton. We specialize in custom kitchens, vanities, closets, and full home storage solutions. With a strong focus on quality craftsmanship and efficient production, we are looking for a skilled Mozaik Software Operator / Project Designer to support our design and manufacturing workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Mozaik to design kitchen, vanity, closet, and custom cabinetry projects in 2D/3D.
- Produce accurate shop drawings, elevation sheets, cut lists, part lists, and hardware lists.
- Prepare CNC-ready files including nesting, labels, and reports for production.
- Interpret site measurements, architectural plans, and customer sketches.
- Make design revisions based on client feedback, site conditions, and production requirements.
- Coordinate closely with:
- Production team (to ensure clean, buildable designs)
- Installers (to address on-site corrections or adjustments)
- Sales/design staff (to clarify specifications, materials, and finishes)
- Maintain Mozaik libraries including cabinet libraries, door styles, hardware, materials, and CNC settings.
- Ensure all projects follow Almira Cabinets' construction standards and manufacturing capabilities.
- Organize job folders, revision logs, and documentation for each project.
- Troubleshoot software or production-related issues as they arise.
Qualifications
- Experience with Mozaik (designing, cutting, nesting, or related operations).
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction, hardware, materials, and frameless systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, elevations, and architectural drawings.
- Comfortable creating production-ready files for CNC operations.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Assets (Nice to Have)
- Experience in a cabinetry shop, millwork shop, or carpentry environment.
- Knowledge of CNC workflows, G-code concepts, or on-floor manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with hardware systems (Blum, Hettich, etc.) and modern cabinet materials.
- Experience in cabinet installation or assembly.
