Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ECE Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires creativity, patience, and the ability to engage with children in a way that promotes their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and French, are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
  • Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, including those of children with disabilities or special education requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
  • Organize classroom activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical development.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English are preferred.
  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Teaching experience with under 36 months children is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
  • Strong time management skills to balance lesson planning, teaching, and administrative duties.
  • Leadership qualities to guide students in their learning journey.
  • Proficient computer skills for record keeping and lesson planning purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
