About the Role
Lead. Build. Scale. Transform how people eat.
Do you want to be part of a hyper-growth brand that's redefining how people fuel their lives — with healthy, delicious, and functional meals made fresh every day? Love food? Thrive in the rush of the kitchen? Ready to lead a world-class operation that delivers fresh, crave-worthy meals at scale?
If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
We're looking for a bold, culture-setting leader to take the helm of our state-of-the-art kitchen and fulfillment centre in Mississauga. This is more than a site leadership role — it's your chance to shape the future of how we deliver food that makes people feel good.
As Site Director, you'll lead everything that makes our Ready-to-Eat operations hum — from Kitchen and Plating to Pick & Pack, Warehouse, and support functions like Maintenance, Safety, and Food Safety.
You will:
- Ensure every meal leaving our doors is healthy, crave-worthy, and right on time
- Build and grow a high-performing team obsessed with excellence
- Drive continuous improvement and bring big ideas to life
- Partner with leadership peers to launch new product lines and expand customer choice
- Create a strong, inclusive culture built on safety, quality, and collaboration
This is a role for builders — for leaders who thrive in fast-moving environments, love developing people, and want to leave a mark on a brand that's scaling fast globally.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and inspire a large, diverse workforce across Kitchen, Plating, Pick & Pack, and Warehouse operations — bringing energy, clarity, and accountability every single day.
- Build and scale a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, continuous learning, and uncompromising excellence.
- Set the standard. Define, manage, and deliver on KPIs that drive world-class results in food safety, team safety, quality, taste, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Think deep, act smart. Foster a culture of root-cause problem solving — empowering teams to identify issues, take ownership, and deliver lasting fixes.
- Champion the customer. Lead with a customer-first mindset — never compromising on food safety or quality, and always striving to delight with every meal we make.
- Stay hands-on. We're a fast-moving, growth-driven brand — flexibility, teamwork, and rolling up your sleeves are part of who we are.
At a minimum, you have:
- 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Direct Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food manufacturing experience is a strong asset
- Deep knowledge of Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and Lean Six Sigma principles — with proven success applying them in fast-paced production environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale operations, including multiple management layers and a sizable hourly workforce.
- High energy and resilience. You thrive under pressure and love the pace, challenge, and constant evolution of a high-growth environment.
- Driven and self-motivated. You're a leader who competes to win — fueled by a genuine desire to make an impact on the business and the people you lead.
- Authentic leadership. You build trust, communicate clearly, motivate teams, and hold yourself and others accountable to high standards.
- Collaborative problem-solver. You engage cross-functional partners, empower teams, and deliver fast, well-rounded solutions to complex challenges.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or other professional credentials are preferred.
- Willingness to travel within Canada (up to 10%) as needed.
What you'll get in return:
- Competitive salary and health benefits
- 75% discount on HelloFresh or Chefs Plate weekly box subscription
- High impact work to help feed thousands of families in Canada
- Opportunity to learn and grow
- Work with a hard-working and supportive team
Working Conditions:
It's no surprise that as a food company, we use many ingredients that may be considered common allergens (i.e. peanuts, tree nuts, milk, etc.). Whether this role is based out of our headquarters or one of our distribution centers, it is possible that you may be exposed to such allergens in this role. If you have any concerns with being exposed to any particular food ingredients, including meat, please disclose this during the hiring process.
If this sounds like you, please click the "Apply Now" button. If this role doesn't quite match what you're looking for, but you'd like to know more about joining the HelloFresh team, please visit our Jobs page to view our other vacancies. We'd love to hear from you
