Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company, focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are seeking a highly motivated Joint Venture Accountant to join our Calgary-based team. This role plays a key part in supporting Tourmaline's continued growth by fostering strong partner relationships across Alberta and British Columbia. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant joint venture accounting activities in alignment with corporate policies and industry standards.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Joint Venture Accounting, the successful candidate will be responsible for, or assist with, the following:

Key Responsibilities


•Review and analyze joint venture billings for both operated and non-operated properties, including interpretation of joint venture agreements to ensure billing accuracy.


•Manage dispute resolution for operated and non-operated properties in a timely manner to maintain strong partner relationships.


•Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable related to joint venture balances, ensuring timely reconciliation and clearance of invoices.


•Record royalty income and prepare monthly royalty accruals.


•Process and record cash receipts.


•Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


•Minimum of five (5) years of related joint venture or oil and gas accounting experience.


•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word; familiarity with AccuMap and LandRite is considered an asset.


•Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.


•Efficient, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and resolve issues professionally.
