R1 Construction has an immediate opening for an apprentice carpenter, 2nd year or higher. This individual will be responsible for assisting the carpenters with a variety of tasks, including several areas of Residential interior and exterior construction & renovation.

Minimum of 2 years' experience required. Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:

  • Interior Finishing work, including flooring installation (hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate, tile work), door/window install, casings & baseboards, painting and drywall installation & finishing.
  • Exterior work, including framing, siding & roofing.
  • Decks & fences.
  • Stair building.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Some travel may be required, but the majority of work is in Saskatoon and area.

Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation is required.

Salary: TBD, based on experience & qualifications. Opportunities for overtime work.
