This is a new service we are offering at this location, so I am looking for the perfect candidate who wants to build their business WITH me. It may start out slower (we can discuss a few options), but we are hoping to build up clientele quickly and continually have a full time position.

Duties

  • Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming
  • Trimming fur, nails, and haircuts according to breed standards or customer requests
  • Cleaning ears, expressing glands, and performing other grooming-related tasks
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process
  • Maintaining cleanliness of grooming tools and work area
  • Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
  • Handling heavy lifting of pets and equipment as needed
  • Scheduling appointments and managing client records efficiently

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pet grooming
  • Preference will be given to groomers experienced with both cats and dogs.
  • Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and clients
  • Ability to handle pets gently yet confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting of pets and equipment regularly throughout the day
  • Compassionate attitude toward animals with patience and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism
