Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Services Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, supporting both on-premises and cloud-based environments. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies and contribute to the seamless operation of our IT services.

Duties

  • Manage and support cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee virtualization environments using VMware and ESXi, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation.
  • Maintain and optimize databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions by performing backups, updates, and performance tuning.
  • Administer Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring system security, patching, and configuration management.
  • Configure and manage DNS, VPNs, and other network services to ensure secure connectivity across the organization.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, or JavaScript to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes to support scalable application deployment.
  • Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, T-SQL, PL/SQL for continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
  • Manage RESTful APIs for system integrations and ensure adherence to best practices in API design.
  • Monitor system health, perform troubleshooting of hardware/software issues, and implement security measures to protect organizational data.
  • Document procedures and configurations; provide technical support to users as needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi.
  • Proficiency in database management with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions.
  • Solid understanding of computer networking concepts: DNS, VPNs, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Kubernetes.
  • Programming skills in Python, Bash (Unix shell), JavaScript; experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins; scripting languages such as T-SQL and PL/SQL for database automation.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices; ability to implement security policies across systems. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex IT environments while staying current with emerging technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system administration tasks.
