Columbus Residence is looking for casual, flexible team-oriented candidates to join our Support Services team supporting our vision to be a home alive with hope, joy, meaning and motivation.

Employees must have 2 doses of COVID vaccine, Successful Criminal Record Check and medical screening prior to starting work. Hours will vary depending on need.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of Manager of Support Services performs general cleaning and sanitation duties, including the cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, offices and other areas. Performs a variety of duties in relation to the preparation and service of food such as portioning and serving meals, preparing hot / cold beverages with recognized Food Safe protocols, delivers food and supplies to resident areas as indicated, strips and washes dishes and utensils and various cleaning duties for area and accordance with the Spirituality, Mission and Values of Columbus Residence.

Wages:

13% in lieu of vacation and stats are added to each cheque, additional shift differential added for hours worked on the weekend, and stats worked will receive statutory holiday pay.

Education, Training & Experience

Grade 10 or an equivalent combination education, training and experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  2. Ability to deal with others effectively.

  3. Physical Ability to carry out the duties of the positions.

  4. Ability to organize work.

  5. Ability to operate related equipment.

Job Types: Permanent, Casual

Pay: $24.34 per hour
