Materials Expeditor

We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as an
Expeditor (Contract)
. This role plays a critical part in keeping manufacturing operations running smoothly by ensuring materials are tracked, expedited, and available to support production timelines.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Track and expedite materials, components, and purchase orders to support production
• Follow up with suppliers on order status, lead times, and delivery issues
• Support purchasing and procurement activities through accurate data entry and system updates
• Communicate material status to production, supervisors, and internal stakeholders
• Spend time on the production floor ("boots on the ground") to understand priorities and constraints
• Proactively identify and escalate potential material shortages or delays

Mandatory Requirements:

• 1–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with material tracking, expediting, purchasing, or procurement support
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with production and suppliers
• Strong communication and follow-up skills

Preferred Requirements:

• Purchasing or supply chain background
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems
• Previous experience supporting fast-paced manufacturing operations

Location:
Milton, Ontario

Salary Range:
$26/hr – $31/hr
