Audio/Visual Coordinator

This coordinator will be responsible for:
- working with other members of the Conference Planning Team to asses/understand the techincal requirements of each conference event
- plan the implementation of the required equipment for each event (answering questions such as: where will the equipment come from? who will be setting it up? will it require an operator?, etc.)
- in some cases he/she will setup and operate audio/visual equipment (including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, etc.)
- working with our host hotel to establish their technical capibilities and aligning them with our requirements on a per event basis
- liasoning with UWaterloo IST and other 3rd party vendors as needed
The ideal canidate for this position is someone who:
- has experience as an audio/visual technician
- is a fast problem solver and is able to think on their feet and make use of the resources available to them
- is commited to providing the very best audio/visual experience to our attendees
- has a strong work ethic, but is fun to work with and maintains a sense of humour
