Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves coordinating various teams, ensuring safety compliance, managing schedules, and maintaining quality standards to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Site Superintendent will play a critical role in supervising daily operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within scope
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow
- Supervise and direct construction crews, providing leadership and guidance on daily tasks
- Monitor project progress using tools like SiteMax and construction management software to update schedules and track milestones
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of work
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
- Manage site safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations; enforce safety protocols among all personnel
- Prepare and review contracts, change orders, and budgets; assist in construction estimating as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities, safety incidents, and project progress reports
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Superintendent or similar supervisory role within the construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices, including project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
- Proficiency with construction management software
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards (OSHA compliance)
- Experience managing pipeline projects or large-scale infrastructure developments is a plus
- Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams on complex projects
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including electrical testing (ohmmeter use) and system installations
- Strong communication skills for coordinating between stakeholders and managing project documentation
- Preferred: Site Servicing Experience
