Aspen is a growing business looking for people with energy, drive and passion to contribute to our team.The Saw Operator / Material Handler reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.Main ResponsibilitiesOperation of CNC sawsRead drawingsMeasure work pieces using fractional tape measureMust have a strong work ethicMeticulously organized and ability to keep a clean workspaceQuick to learn new skillsStrong attention to detailCapable of performing Material Coordinator tasks and ability to complete Receiving and Inventory Transactions in Visual.Picking inventory and creating kits based on Work Order requirementsDelivering kits and materials to appropriate work stations as requestedPhysical parts receiving and restocking shelves (able to lift up to 50lbs)  Unloading and loading steel, pallets, and all other materials that require the use of a LoaderKeep Yard area clean and organized, re-organizing where necessaryUse Work Order documents as an effective communication tool and record delays or important notes for office or internal customerAccurately inspecting and physically receiving flame cut steelPerform inventory Cycle Counts as requested by the Manufacturing ManagerAble to operate warehouse forklift and loader in a safe, and productive manner an asset  Participate in Full Inventory CountsSecondary ResponsibilitiesPerform material handling duties as assignedGood communication with co-workers in a collaborative team environmentDevelop and maintain a regular cleaning schedule to ensure the machine shop is kept tidy and well organized upon completion of work assignmentsAttributes and SkillsCrane operationAble to work autonomously and uses good decision-making practicesOrganizational and planning skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsQualificationsMinimum 1 year experience with operation of CNC saws preferredPrevious material handling experience requiredUnderstand and perform safe work practicesOverhead crane training an assetPhysical RequirementsPhysically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs - fitness test requiredStanding on your feet for a long period of timeHave good eye to hand coordinationBe able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periodsAbility to wear personal protective gear most of the dayShift Availability Days - Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pmWhen our shop is busy, overtime is scheduled and expectedBenefitsCompetitive WagesExtended Health Care & Dental BenefitsAD&D, Life and STD Disability BenefitsEmployee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Company supplied PPE equipmentGreat work life balanceSafety Boot AllowanceYear-round workWeekend and Over time work availableStable careerFamily environment and company cultureApply now to join North America's premier supplier of heavy haul transportation equipment Aspen Custom Trailers is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company poised for significant ongoing growth. Thank you for your interest in Aspen Custom Trailers.
