Your Mission Brief

WOLF Advanced Technology is on the hunt for
a full-time Engineer, Design Verification
to join our high-performance team in
Aurora, Ontario.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Design Verification Engineering, you'll take charge of validating the performance, reliability, and integration of our advanced embedded video systems across defense and aerospace platforms.

This is a hands-on, hardware-focused role where you'll be working closely with cutting-edge technologies like FPGAs, GPUs, and high-speed video interfaces. From prototype bring-up to full system validation, you'll be at the heart of WOLF's verification efforts, helping ensure our products perform flawlessly under the harshest conditions. While the role offers hybrid flexibility, most of the team is on-site due to the lab-intensive nature of the work.

As Engineer, Design Verification at WOLF, you might…

  • Develop test strategies:
Create and execute detailed verification plans aligned with product specifications
  • Lead bring-up efforts:
Oversee prototype bring-up, electrical characterization, and system-level qualification
  • Debug hardware issues:
Use oscilloscopes, analyzers, and layout tools to pinpoint and resolve board-level problems
  • Validate high-speed video:
Test interfaces like 12G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and other embedded video systems
  • Collaborate across teams:
Work closely with design, systems, and validation teams to ensure smooth product integration
  • Document with precision:
Generate clear verification reports, test procedures, and compliance artifacts
  • Mentor peers:
Share best practices, guide junior engineers, and foster technical excellence
  • Drive continuous improvement:
Champion process refinements that boost test efficiency and product quality

If you're passionate about hardware, love solving complex technical problems, and want to be part of a team that delivers high-reliability solutions for defense and aerospace, we want to hear from you.

Your Edge

You hold
a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
or a related field (or equivalent experience), with
5+ years of hands-on design verification experience focused on embedded hardware systems
. You've validated FPGA, MPSoC, and GPU-based platforms, tested video interfaces like 12G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.1, and know your way around oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and schematics.

Experience working with FPGA, MPSoC, or GPU-based platforms is highly valued, as is familiarity with video interfaces such as 12G-SDI, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.1. Proficiency with lab equipment including
oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and reading schematics
is essential to succeed in this role.

You ideally have experience developing test plans, running regression campaigns, and producing traceable documentation to support compliance, performance, and reliability objectives.
