Network Cloud Engineer

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Network Cloud Engineer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client's Toronto office.

Job Description:

The Network Cloud Engineer will work on integrating complex network solutions, focusing on deploying and maintaining cloud-based network infrastructures. The role involves collaborating with various technology teams to enhance and optimize existing network systems.

Responsibilities:


• Incorporate complex network solutions using leading-edge technologies.


• Provide hands-on support during project deployments into production.


• Lead and consult on solutions and designs for assigned tasks.


• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Global Network Engineering.


• Publish standards, bug reviews, and manage vendor relationships.


• Develop network technology roadmaps and seek approval.


• Mentor and coach team members, transferring subject matter expertise.

Mandatory Skills:


• 8+ years of experience in supporting and deploying network technologies at an enterprise scale.


• 5+ years of experience with cloud solutions and relevant certifications.


• Practical design experience with cloud services and container platforms.


• Proficient in CLI, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools.


• Deep understanding of network security best practices.


• Experience with cloud networking and troubleshooting tools.


• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent network knowledge.

Nice-to-Have Skills:


• Experience with Fortinet or Cisco firewall solutions.


• Hands-on experience with Load Balancers like F5.


• Strong background in network performance optimization.


• Experience in a customer-facing support role in the cloud ecosystem.


• Strong infrastructure design skills with a passion for technology.

Assignment Length:

This is a 12-month contract position.

Assignment Location:

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days in the office per week, potentially extending to 4 days in the future.
