Overview

Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a dedicated Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Building Maintenance Worker at our apartment building, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our building, located in Kamloops. This position requires a strong focus on general maintenance of the suites and building.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance on yard equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform weekly inspections to the building systems.
  • Perform minor repairs in residents suite.
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems. and contact trades person for major repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Co-ordinate and follow up on trades work.
  • Manage inventory.
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Miscellaneous jobs as requested by management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of building equipment, including HVAC, boilers.
  • Positive attitude, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving abilities is essential.
  • Must be able to work independently
