As a Personal Support Worker, your work will include:

  • Engaging in meaningful conversation and building genuine relationships with clients

  • Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding or meal routines as needed
  • Helping with light housekeeping tasks and supporting clients to maintain a comfortable home environment
  • Observing and reporting on changes in clients' physical, mental and behavioural health; completing documentation of care activities

Why Choose Senior Helpers of Sarnia-Lambton?

We believe in supporting our team members just as much as our clients. Here's how we stand out:

  • Certified Great Place to Work – We're committed to fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Professional Growth & Training – We provide on-going training to expand your skills and advance your career in home care.
  • Flexible Scheduling – We understand life isn't one-size-fits-all; we work with your availability to find shifts that work for you.
  • Team-Based Support – You'll be part of a strong, caring team dedicated to your success.
  • Meaningful Impact – You'll have a frontline role in enhancing clients' quality of life and giving families peace of mind.

Qualifications We're Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for providing care and support to others
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-centred mindset
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, such as early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
  • A valid driver's license (G or G2 Classification), access to a reliable vehicle, and proof of automobile insurance
  • To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, a clear background check
  • Previous experience in home care or a PSW role is an asset (though we welcome motivated newcomers)
