Your Role Will Be Responsible For:

  • Manage and oversee the procurement of raw materials, contracts, and essential goods and services
  • Establish and enforce the Purchasing department's budget
  • Evaluate, update, and implement purchasing policies to optimize processes
  • Maintain accurate inventory records to proactively identify when new stock is needed and avoid shortages
  • Lead hard negotiations on behalf of the organization for all purchases within the Purchasing department while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with vendors
  • Source flavor ingredients from both international and local suppliers, evaluating based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with international trade regulations
  • Provide backup support to the Replenishment and Planning team, ensuring seamless operations and continuity

What You Need to Bring to Embassy:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in mid to senior-level purchasing role(s) in a bakery environment
  • A university or college degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a relevant field
  • Designation in Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) is an asset.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm in a forward-thinking, high-tech environment driven by the integration with artificial intelligence and ERP systems
  • Expert in effectively managing and overseeing departmental budgets
  • Proven leader with outstanding communication and hard negotiation skills
  • Excels in dynamic, collaborative environments, fostering positivity and teamwork to achieve shared goals and drive success.

  • Exceptional analytical and reporting expertise
  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced setting with a strong "get it done now" and positive attitude
