Coastal Support Services Ltd. is looking for a Residential Support Worker with our Brain Injury Program

Nanaimo, BC

40 hours per week

$ an hour

Position Summary

· Provide direct, front-line supports in the home of two male individuals with acquired brain injuries in 24-hour residential care.

· Assist with personal hygiene, dietary needs, meal preparation, housekeeping, and community inclusion.

· Contribute to individual's maintenance of a caring and dignified living space.

· Maintain detailed progress notes after each shift and report to the Team Lead.

Education & Experience

· Residential Care Aid / Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent education in a related field is preferred.

· 1-year minimum experience working with individuals with acquired brain injuries or equivalent experience is preferred.

· Experience with setting personal boundaries.

· Driver's license with clean driver's abstract will be required prior to start date.

· Ability to obtain a current Criminal record check for working with vulnerable adults.

· FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset.

· Coastal Support Services Ltd. Is currently following the Provincial Health Order dated October 15, 2021. You must have proof of vaccination against Covid-19.
