Senior Analyst, Private Equity

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Private Equity for a new vacancy on our Toronto based investment team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a small group of senior PE investment professionals and participate in all aspects of the investment process: market research, due diligence, deal execution, and portfolio company management.

What You Will Do

• Evaluate private equity investment opportunities. This will include: in-depth research, performing financial analysis, preparing presentation materials, and making investment recommendations
• Build financial and valuation models, conduct due diligence, and assist with overall deal execution
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams to help execute strategy and follow-on acquisitions, monitor financial and operational performance, and assist in performing company valuations

What You Bring

• Undergraduate degree with a focus on business, finance, economics, accounting, or management consulting with a strong academic track record
• 3-5 years of related work experience; this may include private equity, investment banking, equity research, restructuring, consulting and/or transaction advisory/due diligence
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated financial analysis experience
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight timelines and on multiple projects
• Excellent communications skills and a demonstrated ability to present well-articulated ideas
• Self-motivated with the desire to work as part of an entrepreneurial team

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
