Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and be proficient in using both hand and power tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary. As an Auto Body Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform bodywork and frame repairs.
- Remove and replace damaged parts, including bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Repair or replace vehicle body panels and components.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding, or applying filler.
- Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to auto body work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Experience working in a dealership setting is a plus.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
