Position Title: Healthcare Instructor – PSW & Short Courses

Employment Type: Full-Time /Part Time

Compensation: Starting range of $25–$35 per hour, based on certain certifications, experience, and prior institutional employment (college/school board)

Trident Healthcare Institute is a registered Private Career College located in Hamilton, Ontario. We offer specialized training in Personal Support Worker (PSW) programs and a diverse portfolio of short healthcare courses. Our mission is to deliver student-focused, hands-on education that prepares graduates for immediate employment in the healthcare sector.

We Are Seeking Instructors For:

  • PSW Program (NACC curriculum)
  • Short Courses including: Dementia Care, Mental Health First Aid, Safe Management, Infection Control, Palliative Care, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with Ministry and PCC standards.
  • Create and assess lesson plans, assignments, and practical evaluations.
  • Support and evaluate students during classroom, lab, and clinical sessions.
  • Collaborate with administrators and contribute to curriculum updates.

Qualifications:

  • RN or RPN with current CNO registration (required for PSW instruction).
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical and/or instructional experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with adult education methodologies.

Preferred:

  • Experience in private career college instruction.
  • Evening/weekend availability.
  • Hybrid delivery experience.
