This opportunity is ideal for a CPA-designated public accounting professional with strong technical capabilities in assurance and tax. What You'll Accomplish in This Role
Assurance & Audit

  • Execute audits and reviews from planning to completion
  • Develop engagement programs including risk analysis and materiality
  • Apply firm audit and accounting methodologies across engagements

Tax Compliance

  • Prepare corporate, personal, trust, and partnership tax returns
  • Prepare T4/T5/NR4 information slips, GST/HST, EHT, WSIB, ETD calculations, and other filings
  • Prepare tax schedules and working papers within CaseWare

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare files, financial statements, and draft tax returns
  • Distinguish between compilation and assurance engagements

Client & Team Support

  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff
  • Manage concurrent assignments and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Collaborate with administration for onboarding, documentation, and workflow
  • Maintain daily timesheets, attend meetings, and communicate engagement status

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • CPA designation (mandatory)
  • 2–3 years of experience in public accounting
  • Experience with IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector frameworks
  • Strong tax compliance knowledge
  • Excellent client service skills and relationship-building ability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with CaseWare (asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation & Details

Compensation:
$80,000 – $95,000
Location:
Richmond Hill – Hybrid (3 days/week in office mandatory)

Vacation:
3+ weeks
