Looking for a hardworking and reliable dishwasher to join our team at Avling Restaurant and Brewery.

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly by ensuring all dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized efficiently. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Sample shifts are as follows:

Wed/Thurs 5pm-10:30pm

Friday 4pm-11:30pm

Saturday 3pm-11:30pm

Sunday 2pm-10:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • wash and sanitize all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen tools quickly and efficiently.
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and storage areas.
  • operate and maintain the dishwashing machine ensuring proper use of cleaning chemicals provided.
  • assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as needed
  • dispose of garbage recycling, and compost following proper procedures.
  • Assisting the cooks with additional tasks as required, such as re-stocking items during service.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and to stand for long periods of time
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination
  • Adhere to executive chef's and BOH managers guidelines and style of management, cooking philosophy, and recipe executions.
  • ability to lift and carry 50 lbs up and down two flights of stairs on a regular basis (our prep kitchen is located in the basement

Qualifications

  • Experience in food preparation and handling
  • Strong cleaning skills and attention to hygiene
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
  • Knowledge of food service and hospitality practices
  • Familiarity with cooking techniques and food safety regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour
