Our shop specializes in fleet maintenance, structural repairs for both trucks and trailers, welding and fabrication, and installing hydraulic liftgates. Requirements:
We're looking for a motivated Lube Technician / Shop Helper to join our team. This individual will perform oil changes, grease units, assist with preventative maintenance inspections, and handle a variety of general shop duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, take pride in their work, and be interested in working toward an apprenticeship in the truck and trailer industry.
Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable taking on various hands-on and handyman-style tasks throughout the day. No license required.
Responsibilities:
Perform oil changes, greasing, and basic maintenance on trucks & trailers
Assist with preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and annual preparation
Maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization
Handle and move scrap metal, cardboard, and other recyclables
Assist technicians as needed with general shop tasks

Details of Responsibilities:
Perform oil changes, greasing, and basic maintenance on trucks & trailers:
a. Perform oil changes and lubrication services on a variety of units
b. Top up fluids and check filters as required
c. Replace wiper blades and other minor maintenance items
d. Complete retorques and assist with basic mechanical repairs as directed
e. Maintain accurate records of completed workAssist with preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and annual preparation:
a. Support technicians by removing tires, hubs, and components during annual prep
b. Assist in inspecting units for leaks, damage, and safety concerns
c. Report any issues or findings to the lead technician or foreman
d. Help ensure all units are serviced efficiently and returned to customers on time
- Maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization (should be completed after every job & in between jobs):
a. Sweep shop bays and clean up work areas regularly
b. Clean out oil trays and self-dumping hoppers
c. Dispose of garbage, scrap metal, and recyclables properly
d. Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to their proper location
e. Keep the shop floor clean, safe, and organized at all times
Handle and move scrap metal, cardboard, and other recyclables:
a. Sort and organize scrap material for proper disposal or recycling
b. Assist with loading and moving material to designated bins or areas
c. Maintain cleanliness and order around disposal and recycling zonesAssist technicians as needed with general shop tasks:
a. Provide support to technicians by fetching tools, materials, or parts
b. Assist with minor repairs or prep work as directed
c. Take initiative to help with any task that improves workflow and productivity
d. Be open to learning new skills from experienced team members
- Other:
a. Must be able to work independently and take direction from supervisors
b. Quick cleaning of customers vehicle cabs. Light dusting & quick vacuum
b. Must be comfortable with physical work and various handyman-style tasks
c. Must maintain a positive and respectful attitude toward coworkers and management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
