Middle School Math and Science Teacher

Fieldstone School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable educator to teach Middle School Math and Science from January to June 2026. This position covers a maternity leave, with the potential for renewal.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Grades 6-8 Math and Science following the Cambridge Lower Secondary Framework
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that build conceptual understanding and inquiry-based skills
- Assess student learning in alignment with Cambridge standards and school policies
- Foster a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Communicate regularly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to broader school activities as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field in Mathematics, Science, or a closely aligned discipline
- Strong subject-matter foundation; official transcripts will be required
- Experience teaching Middle School Math and Science (Cambridge experience is an asset)
- Ability to deliver clear, structured lessons and differentiate instruction effectively
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student-centred, concept-driven learning
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
- Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative approach
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to start date
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
