We are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Studentfor our Toronto District that is available for a minimum of 4 months starting in January 2026. 

Here's how a Mechanical & Electrical Estimating Student at our Toronto office contributes to the team:

Responsibilities Understand and utilize PCL's estimating manuals, systems and forms.Review quantity survey assignment with lead estimator or Chief Estimator.Gets the chance to perform assigned quantity survey and transfer quantities to the lead estimator.Provides quantities of major purchase items to purchasing department for pricing.Creates an impact by performing general subtrade solicitation duties and helping with bid document control.Has the opportunity to perform bid day assignments.Experiences visiting the job sites periodically.Develops relationships with subcontractors.Performs other duties as required. Qualifications

Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
