About Cybrid

Cybrid is a Series A fintech startup building the next generation of crypto-powered global payments infrastructure. Our platform enables fintechs, banks, and enterprises to launch compliant, scalable, and global payment solutions with one API. We bridge the gap between traditional financial rails and blockchain-native payments, helping partners launch faster, bank faster, and pay faster using stablecoins and Bitcoin.

With deep expertise across crypto, security, banking, and payments, our team has scaled fintech platforms before and now we're taking the Cybrid platform worldwide.

The Opportunity

We're hiring an Engineering Manager, a senior technical leader who will play a foundational role in shaping and scaling Cybrid's engineering organization. You will be responsible for leading engineering teams, driving execution excellence, maturing engineering processes, and partnering closely with Product and the CTO on strategy and delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for an experienced engineering manager ready to grow as the company scales.

What You'll Do
Team Leadership & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers and technical leads across multiple product areas.
  • Build a strong engineering culture grounded in ownership, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and career development support to team members.
  • Establish clear expectations and uphold high engineering performance standards.
Execution & Delivery Management
  • Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery across engineering squads.
  • Partner with Product to convert roadmap priorities into actionable engineering plans.
  • Drive alignment, prioritization, and clarity across workstreams.
  • Improve and scale processes for planning, estimation, execution, communication, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Identify risks, manage dependencies, and remove blockers to keep teams moving efficiently.
Organizational Development
  • Help design and evolve the engineering organization as we grow (e.g., squads, chapters, future managers).
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning to build a high-performing engineering team.
  • Lead initiatives that improve engineering effectiveness, velocity, and team health.
Technical Leadership
  • Work closely with senior engineers and tech leads to guide architectural decision-making and maintain technical excellence.
  • Promote best practices across development, testing, DevOps, observability, performance, and reliability.
  • Support long-term platform planning, scalability initiatives, and quality improvements.
  • Champion AI-assisted development workflows to drive higher engineering productivity.
Cross-functional Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and GTM teams to support customer needs and product strategy.
  • Clearly communicate plans, progress, risks, and decisions to executive leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the CTO on organizational, technical, and strategic initiatives.
What You Bring
Required Experience
  • 8+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering management.
  • Proven track record leading teams of 8–20 engineers across multiple products or squads.
  • Experience growing engineering teams in a high-growth startup or Series A/B SaaS or fintech company.
  • Strong background in modern web or platform development (Ruby/Rails, Python/Django, TypeScript, or similar).
  • Ability to drive predictable execution, refine engineering systems, and deliver high-quality product outcomes.
  • Experience working closely with Product leadership on planning, prioritization, and organizational alignment.
  • Excellent people leadership skills: coaching, performance management, and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong architectural awareness and ability to guide teams toward sound technical decisions.
  • Comfort using and advocating for AI-assisted engineering workflows.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in regulated industries (payments, banking, compliance, digital assets).
  • Background leading multi-team organizations or operating at a Head/Director level.
  • Experience with distributed systems, financial data flows, or developer platform design.
  • Track record of scaling engineering organizations through rapid growth.
