News Writer/ Reporter (Part Time)

We are seeking a News Writer / Reporter to join our dynamic news and current affairs team. This part-time position (24 to 40 hours per week) is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, current affairs, and delivering accurate, engaging news content.

Job Duties

  • Research, report, and script news and current affairs stories in Chinese and English
  • Conduct interviews, perform field reporting, and translate materials as needed
  • Edit news clips using Adobe Premiere
  • Create motion graphics and infographics to support news and current affairs stories
  • Participate in studio production and live broadcasts
  • Work closely with producers to ensure accuracy and strong journalistic standards

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in journalism, communications, or related field
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is an asset
  • Strong writing skills in both Chinese and English
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere; working knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop is an asset
  • Prior experience in news reporting or media production preferred
