Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
  • Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and sanitation
  • Assist with food plating, garnishing, and portioning to meet restaurant specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts
  • Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
  • Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
  • Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Passion for the food industry with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
