Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Stittsville, ON, for a Project Accountant. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing project budgets, maintaining accurate financial records, tracking expenses, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Additional tasks include preparing financial reports, liaising with project managers to address budgetary requirements, and supporting the overall financial efficiency of construction projects.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a mandatory qualification
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective collaboration skills to work closely with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Experience in the construction industry or project-based accounting is an asset
  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an advantage
