About Us:

The Seven Oaks Hotel in Regina is undergoing an exciting transformation, and we are looking for a skilled and hands-on Renovations Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all renovation projects are executed efficiently, safely, and with the highest standards of quality.

Position Overview:

The Renovations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all renovations activities at the hotel. Working closely with a team of 8 to 16 skilled tradespeople, the Coordinator will ensure work progresses on schedule, meets quality standards, and remains aligned with hotel objectives. The ideal candidate is both a strong leader and a capable tradesperson, ready to roll up their sleeves when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate ongoing renovation projects across the hotel.
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary team of trades workers (carpenters, tilers, roofers, etc.).
  • Ensure renovation work meets quality, safety, and timeline expectations.
  • Actively participate in renovations as required; this is a hands-on leadership role.
  • Maintain clear communication and regular reporting to the General Manager.
  • Be available by phone at all times for urgent renovation or major maintenance issues.
  • Assess technical maintenance requests and determine if work can be completed in-house or should be outsourced.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to support hotel operations and ensure timely repairs.
  • Monitor progress and conduct follow-ups to maintain team productivity and resolve any issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in building renovations and general contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of room renovations, roofing, tiling, and other hotel-related trades.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience in project coordination, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities regarding in-house versus contracted work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site presence required, Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
  • Must be reachable by phone outside business hours for emergencies related to renovations or major maintenance.
