POSITION TITLE: Developmental Support Worker
CLASSIFICATION: Part-time Position
NUMBER OF EMPLOYEES REQUIRED: 2
NUMBER OF HOURS Approximately 8 hours per week
START DATE: Immediately

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- DSW Diploma (or proven equivalency).
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid First Aid/CPR and CPI Certifications.
- Valid Driver's License (G)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued for employment purposes within the last 12 months.
- Use of a reliable vehicle to drive people supported, including appropriate car insurance is required
EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES and SKILLS:
- Knowledge of dual diagnosis and mental health
- Sound knowledge of problem solving and independent decision-making skills
- Experience in conflict and behaviour
- Ability to work alone or with colleagues to implement consistent strategies and basic knowledge of applied behavioural analysis
