We are seeking a
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager
to support our manufacturing operations across North America. This role plays a key part in strengthening our safety culture, ensuring compliance, and supporting our teams as we continue to grow. The HSE Manager will work closely with plant leaders and regional safety teams to guide, coach, and support safe work practices, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and monitor all health, safety, and environmental programs across North America.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, federal/provincial/state legislation (Canada & U.S.).
- Serve as the public and regulatory liaison for all HSE matters.
- Develop and deploy safety policies, training programs, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage capital budgets and regional HSE leaders.
- Lead incident investigation, reporting, and prevention programs.
- Analyze and report HSE performance metrics and trends.
- Partner with site and functional leaders to drive safety culture transformation.
- Maintain and improve communication with regulatory agencies, insurance carriers, and consultants.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to plant and regional HSE staff.
Experience:
- 7–10 years of HSE experience in a continuous manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in both the U.S. and Canada is mandatory
- Proven history of managing large-scale change or implementation
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Canadian OH&S laws
- U.S. OSHA standards
- Workers' compensation, Fire Code, CSA/ANSI standards
- Process and compliance auditing experience.
- Project management from inception to completion.
- Excellent people leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities.
- Strong grasp of change management, culture development, and team building.
- HSE degree preferred but not required.
