Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities for the entire organization
  • Obtain quotations as required
  • Manage purchase orders
  • Handle urgent purchases
  • Research and contact potential suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier quotations
  • Follow up on orders with suppliers
  • Handle non-conformities
  • Process invoice discrepancies
  • Administer supplier management
  • Perform any other related tasks

Qualifications

To succeed as a Buyer, you must have:

  • A college diploma (DEC or AEC) in Supply Chain Management
  • Less than 3 years of experience in supply chain management or other relevant experience
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to understand needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of mechanics or experience in an industrial environment
