Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is looking for a Research Assistant – Plant Pathology to join our team in Lethbridge (Alberta).

What do you need to bring to the table?

  • Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in crop science, biochemistry, plant biology or in a related agricultural program.
  • Experience working with plant disease of fungal nature.
  • Experience providing technical support for research in greenhouse or laboratory environment.
  • Experience conducting basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA, RNA extraction, and PCR.

Quelles sont les qualifications requises?

  • Grade d'un établissement d'enseignement postsecondaire reconnu en phytotechnie, en biochimie, en biologie végétale ou dans un programme agricole connexe.
  • Expérience de travail avec les maladies végétales de nature fongique.
  • Expérience de la prestation de services de soutien technique pour les recherches en serre ou en laboratoire.
  • Expérience de l'application des techniques de base en biologie moléculaire, comme l'extraction d'ADN et d'ARN et la PCR.
