Helping Hands Nanny and Au Pair Services is seeking reliable, caring, and experienced childcare providers to join our network. We work with families throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities, matching caregivers with positions that suit their experience, availability, and preferences.

We are currently recruiting for multiple nanny and mother's helper positions, including full-time, part-time, casual, live-in, and live-out roles.

LOCATIONS SERVED

Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, Devon, Leduc, Leduc County, Strathcona County, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Fort Saskatchewan, Sturgeon County, Morinville, and St. Albert.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a nanny or mother's helper, you will provide attentive, nurturing care in a family's home. Responsibilities vary by family and may include hands-on childcare, supporting daily routines, and light household tasks related to the children.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe, engaging, and age-appropriate care

  • Support daily routines including meals, naps, hygiene, and transitions

  • Plan and participate in activities and outings

  • Light tidying and organization related to the children

  • Meal preparation for children

  • Communicate clearly with parents

  • Take initiative and work independently when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Current Standard Childcare First Aid & CPR (Level B or C)

  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

  • Childcare experience (nanny, daycare, education, or related)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, organized, and proactive

  • Able to provide recent childcare-related references

TRANSPORTATION

Some positions may require a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive children.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS

Compensation varies based on role, experience, and family needs. Positions may be hourly or salaried. All placements follow Alberta employment standards.

Pay: $15.00-$25.07 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 50 per week
