We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide and/or Companion, Caregiver, Personal Support Care Worker, Disability Support Worker, Certified Health Care Aids to join our team and provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and emotional support in the comfort of their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to promote their overall well-being, independence, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide mobility assistance and transfer support for those with limited mobility.
  • Assist with medication reminders, as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Companionship and Emotional Support:
  • Engage in friendly and empathetic conversation with clients, offering emotional support and companionship.
  • Encourage social interaction, including reading, playing games, and participating in leisure activities.
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment that fosters a sense of security and comfort.
  • Household Support:
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Assist with grocery shopping and other errands as needed.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the supervising healthcare professional or family members.
  • Maintain accurate records of care activities, including daily logs and incident reports.
  • Respect and Dignity:
  • Treat clients with the utmost respect, dignity, and sensitivity to their individual needs and preferences.
  • Uphold and protect client confidentiality and privacy at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Home Health Aide or Personal Support Worker is preferred.
  • Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient, and friendly demeanor.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and follow care plans.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and assist with physical tasks as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for certain assignments.
  • Clear background check and reference checks.

This Home Health Aide/Companion Personal Support Care Worker role is an essential and rewarding position that allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
