Truck and Transport Technician

Job Description
Northern NB Woodlands is seeking to fill the position of Truck and Transport Technician, with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities, including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance of equipment
• Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
• Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• Follow all established safety policies and standards, including proper identification, use and procedures for handling or disposing of hazardous waste.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification as a Truck and Transport Technician (minimum Block 3)
• Must be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Must be autonomous and detail-oriented
• Analytical and problem solving skills
