Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Calgary, AB, for a Sheet Metal Mechanic in the Field Positions team. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and assembling various sheet metal and HVAC components as required in commercial and residential condominium tower buildings. Additional responsibilities include operating hand tools, conducting metalworking tasks, performing welding activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards during all operations.
Qualifications
- Experience with a variety of Hand Tools used in the sheet metal and HVAC trade
- Proficiency in Metalworking techniques and skills related to bending, cutting, and assembling sheet metal
- Expertise in working with Sheet Metal and related materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical fitness for handling demanding on-site tasks
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in sheet metal or HVAC are a plus
