Overview:
The primary role of the TSR is to contribute to achieving corporate sales and gross margin by positioning Tsubaki as a market leader in technical products and services. Creativity, enthusiasm, attention to detail, strong communication skills, time management, and technical salesmanship are all key to success as a TSR. The Technical Solutions Team function ensures that Tsubaki of Canada's sales departments have the tools, resources, training, and systems they need to achieve sales revenue goals.
TSRs must possess strong personal motivation for continual learning, training, and education. As the product and application subject matter expert, they are responsible for continual learning. They must proactively be current on all Tsubaki products and have a clear understanding of the resources available to them to find appropriate information. They must be professional, approachable, and ready to teach and coach.
Education/Experience:
- University Degree or College Diploma in an Engineering, MET, and or technical field and 2 years of related industry experience.
- Technical acuity, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, time & priority management.
- Consistently demonstrates excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Able to overcome technical obstacles and present sound creative solutions to complex opportunities.
- Be personally motivated and contribute positively to the achievement of corporate goals and objectives as communicated annually.
- Travel is a requirement for this position. While we endeavour to plan and schedule business travel in advance, occasional last-minute travel may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess and maintain a valid G-class driver's license.
- Possess and maintain a valid Passport. Ability to travel in and out of Canada is required.
- Attendance at after-hour meetings and events is required from time to time.
- After-hour travel is required from time to time.
- Must adhere to a business casual dress code.
- Must adhere to the policies in the most recent version of the Tsubaki Policy Manual.
Training & Education:
- Presents application and product training in a professional manner.
- Conducts oneself as a subject matter expert.
- Effective planning and preparation of training opportunities is evident.
- Responds well to training questions.
- Seeks creative methods for training; training assets are well organized, maintained, and up to date.
- Continually develops and improves training programs and resources.
Product & Application Support:
- Demonstrates an advanced technical understanding of Tsubaki products.
- Escalates and seeks further support appropriately.
- Technical communication and reporting are clear and concise.
- Goes the extra mile to look for solutions.
- Achieves department call center goals.
- Completes item masters as per department guidelines and goals.
Field Work:
- Demonstrates effective planning and preparation of fieldwork and travel.
- Embraces opportunities to solve end-user challenges on-site.
- Demonstrates understanding of safety requirements in modern industrial environments.
- Always is prepared with appropriate PPE and equipment.
- Demonstrates effective product identification.
- Presents oneself as the technical expert.
- Is enthusiastic to travel as required.
Sales Growth & Continuous Improvement Projects:
- Embraces the opportunity to participate in strategic projects.
- Demonstrates good time management and prioritization skills.
- Understand the purpose and scope of significant opportunity project(s).
- Effectively manages and requests resources appropriately.

Tsubaki Advantage, CRM, and SharePoint Management:
- Expertly understand and navigate the Tsubaki Advantage, CRM, and SharePoint systems.
- Manage company website, application, products and related systems.
- Document inspections; technical reports; images; and knowledge base articles & files.
- Maintain data validation and integrity.
- Manage identified large opportunities.
- Data mine records for sales leveraging opportunities.
- Actively participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of tools, resources, and relevant information on Tsubaki's collaboration and digital resource platforms.
