Position: Tactical Security Guard

Status: Full-Time & Part-Time Permanent

Schedule:

Full-Time: Monday - Thursday from 10:00-21:00 hrs

Part-Time:Friday - Sunday (Flexibility Required for Shift Times)

Wage Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Location: Burlington, Ontario

What you will do

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
• Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise
• Document theft and other security violations
• Patrol the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely manner
• Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
• Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
• Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required

The Ideal Candidate

• A Valid Security License
• A Valid First Aid and CPR Level C
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years security experinece preferrably in a tactical role.
• Must have working knowledge of Section 494 Canadian Criminal Code
• Must have working knowledge of Tresspass to Property Act of Ontario
• Must have a Valid Use of Force Certification
• A keen interest in asset protection
• Willing to stand/ patrol for the duration of the shift
• Previous security experience in a retail environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills'
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Must be willing and comfortable to stop theft
• Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters

Experience:

• Tactical Security : 2 years (required)
• Arrest : 1 year (required)

Language:

• Fluent English (Verbal and Written) (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Ontario Security Guard License (required)
• First Aid and CPR Level C Certificate (required)
• Use of Force (Hand-Cuff Training) Certificate (required)
