Job Description:

As a Junior Natural Gas Scheduler, your key responsibilities will be to execute daily operations with due consideration to our customer focus, Inventory control and stakeholder management. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling –Responsible for nominating and scheduling gas on pipeline's electronic bulletin boards.
  • System Maintenance- Responsible for putting in all adjustments and actualizations in the systems to reflect the actual product movements.
  • Fundamental Analysis- Provide pipeline flows from receipts and delivery points, force majeure events, maintenance schedules, storage amounts, new projects open seasons, supply and demand fundamentals by pipeline & region and other pertinent information that effect pipeline flows.
  • Trade Ideas & Analysis - Provide trading desk with fundamental trades based on the changing fundamentals in the cash, short term and long-dated markets.
  • Pipeline & Customer Meetings- Attend customer and pipeline shipper meeting on a regular basis.
  • Industry Event Attendance- Attend Industry Events on a regular basis.
  • Deal Team Participation- Be an active member of deal teams pursuing opportunities in the physical gas markets.
  • Invoice Reconciliation and Pipeline Settlements- Reconcile invoices to pipeline flows and agreed upon rates.

Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • Operations experience for a Physical Trading House or Refinery preferred
  • At least 2+ years relevant working experience within the energy trading industry
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel, Word and other MS office applications, experience with major Railway electronic scheduling platforms and any other manual Trading platforms preferred
  • Team player but also able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal skills in order to be able to effectively communicate with senior management, corporate lawyers, business counterparts and external advisors
  • Demonstrate integrity at all times
  • Punctual, precise, hands-on mentality and service-oriented
