Your work environment at EXP

EXP's Sudbury office is currently searching for a Senior Civil Designer. The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented, ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to build on current successes.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Provide drafting/design support using AutoCAD and or Civil 3D applications for grading servicing and stormwater management design for roads/civil/transit and land projects.
  • Proven working knowledge in AutoCAD.
  • Preparation of specifications and reports.
  • Engineering record drawing preparation.
  • Resolving construction issues with the assistance of the site project manager and field supervisors.
  • Quantity measurements, daily reporting, and participation in construction meetings.
    Completion of construction as-built drawings for record-keeping/approval purposes.

What your experience looks like

  • Graduate from a Civil Engineering, or Civil Engineering Technology program.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Civil engineering.
  • Work experience with an engineering consulting firm for at least one work term.
  • A strong desire to gain experience in the civil engineering industry, with a focus on civil/site/transportation/land projects.
  • A strong working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD is required.
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented skills.
  • Strong detail-oriented skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
    Willingness to pursue and attain Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D' certification within first 6 months or as agreed.

The salary range for this role is $75K- $100K. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
