Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional service to Lordco stores and customers across both Kelowna distribution centers
  • Manage Warehouse staff through your direct reports; including recruitment, coaching, development, scheduling, evaluations, and discipline
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure both DCs are laid out for efficient space utilization
  • Support and guide the Inbound team to ensure all received goods are properly marked, located, and safeguarded
  • Oversee daily cycle counts and ensure inventory adjustments are completed on schedule
  • Ensure all orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped accurately and on time to meet daily delivery schedules
  • Provide Logistics with accurate skid counts, carton counts, and DIMs for each shipment
  • Ensure no product leaves the DC without proper paperwork
  • Oversee daily cleaning, organization, security and maintain daily "to-do" lists for warehouse teams
  • Track KPIs and submit detailed month-end reporting to the Director of Distribution
  • Champion workplace safety, ensuring full compliance with WorkSafe BC and government regulations; including thorough, timely accident investigations

Standards

  • Receive all items accurately and report discrepancies within two business days
  • Maintain a team average picking speed of 40 lines/hr or better
  • Keep overall inventory variance at 90% or better
  • Ensure Quick Pick / Special Orders are ready within 15 minutes of dropping
  • Achieve 97% on-time shipment for store orders
  • Maintain Receiving speed of 150 lines/hr or better
  • Maintain Put Away speed of 35 lines/hr or better
  • Ensure goods and returns are received properly within 1 business day
  • Maintain accurate daily MAM location updates

Goals and Objectives

  • Collaborate with DC Services to slot product to shelf level by August 31, 2026
  • Remove process waste to achieve 10% efficiency improvement by August 31, 2026
  • Develop leadership capabilities within your direct reports and their teams
  • Document SOPs and track departmental training to ensure full coverage of skill sets
  • Implement 5S tools, including shadow boards and clearly marked functional areas
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with WorkSafe and TDG regulations (accurate manifests, labelling, placards)

Ideal Qualifications

  • Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience
  • Strong expertise in warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices
  • Experience with RF scanners, conveyor systems, and automotive parts is an asset
